东莞文盛国际学校

　　东莞文盛国际学校（International School of Dongguan，简称ISD）创办于2012年。学校的开办，旨在提高城市教育水平。校园实现多媒体教学， 开设学前、小学、初中以及高中阶段教学课程。ISD凭着严谨的国际教育标准执行办学，于2013年12月12日获得美国西部学校学院协会（WASC - 美国教育部授权的权威认证机构）的认证。同时，东莞文盛国际学校还非常荣幸地获得中国教育部基础教育课程教材发展中心（NCCT）的认证。
　　师资简介
　　ISD现有24名外籍教师，3名中文教师，以及多名中方助教。其外籍教师全部经由ISS美国总部严格审查后招聘录用，确保教师队伍素质可靠。学校的外籍教师均来自美国、加拿大等英语为母语的国家，具备本科以上学历，80%以上具有硕士以上学历，并持有相关的教师资格证书及拥有多年的海外教学经验。由外籍教师和中方助教组成的教学团队与ISS教学管理集团的教学顾问携手，共同打造出吸引学生的教学课程和授课模式，优质的师资为学校的发展和学生的发展提供了坚实的保障。

　　学习设施
　　学校位于东莞市南城区，交通便利，学校占地面积约30,000平方米，建筑面积达12,000平方米。设置有学前、小学、初中以及高中阶段的教学课程，实施小班制授课。[2] ISD拥有名师设计的“蜂巢式”六角形教学大楼、人工植草足球场、室内体育中心、玻璃天顶采光图书馆等多个不同功能的教学场地，以及儿童玩乐中心及咖啡吧等休闲场所。校园园区网络全覆盖，实现移动多媒体教学。目前学校提供学前、小学、初中以及高中阶段的教学课程，实施小班制全外教授课，课程与国际接轨，为培养21世纪高素质、高层次的国际型人才作努力。

　　开设课程：IBDP课程
　　The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) is a rigorous academic program for grade 11 and 12 students, preparing these students for college and university as well as providing avenues for them to make an impact on the community and the wider world. As stated in the IBO’s mission statement “The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.”

　　国际文凭课程（IBDP）是11年级和12年级学生的严格学术课程，为学院和大学准备这些学生，并为社区和更广泛的世界提供途径。如IBO的任务说明所述：“国际文凭课程旨在培养具有吸引力，知识渊博和关爱青年人，通过跨文化理解和尊重，帮助创造更美好，更和平的世界。”

　　While enrolled in the IBDP, students are required to undertake a study on the Theory of Knowledge (TOK), participate and take the lead in Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) activities and undertake a college level research paper denoted as the Extended Essay (EE) – these three components make up the Core of the IBDP. Full IBDP students will also have six courses, three at higher level (HL) and 3 at standard level (SL). These courses include the study of two languages, one humanities course, one science course and one mathematics course.

　　在IBDP入学的同时，要求学生进行知识理论（TOK）的学习，参与并引导创意，行动，服务（CAS）活动，并承担大学阶段的研究论文EE） - 这三个组成部分组成了IBDP的核心。完整的IBDP学生也将有六门课程，三门课程（HL）和三门课程（SL）。这些课程包括两种语言的学习，一门人文课程，一门科学课程和一门数学课程。

　　In March 2015, the International School of Dongguan was authorized by the IBO as an IB World School, offering the IB Diploma Program from August 2015 onward. With the support of our faculty, administration and our IB consultants, ISD has developed policies and procedures that will provide a solid foundation for our first cohorts of the IBDP program.

　　2015年3月，东莞国际学校获IBO授权为国际文凭世界学校，从2015年8月起提供IB文凭课程。在我们的教师，行政部门和IB顾问的支持下，ISD制定了政策和程序，为我们的第一批IBDP计划提供坚实的基础。
